Jonah Wolfson runs Wolfson & Leon and handles injury cases himself. On a normal day that means talking to clients about their treatment, reading medical records and crash reports, writing demand letters to insurance companies, taking depositions of drivers and store managers, and, when an insurer will not pay what a case is worth, filing suit and trying the case to a Miami-Dade jury.
Jonah was born and raised in Miami and admitted to the Florida Bar in 2001. He started his career on the other side, defending insurance companies at a Miami litigation firm for three years, and has represented only injured people since 2005. Before law school he interned at the Cook County Public Defender in Chicago, where he tried cases to verdict as a law student.
He served two terms as a Miami Beach City Commissioner (2007–2015), where he chaired the Land Use, Finance, Flooding, and Sustainability committees. He is an Eagle Member of the Florida Justice Association.
When Jonah reviews an article on this site, it is because he has handled that kind of case and wants the answer to be one he would give a client at the kitchen table.
