Jerome Wolfson founded the firm in 1963, the year he graduated from the University of Miami School of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar. More than sixty years later he still comes to the office, consults on cases, and handles matters against insurance companies for wrongful denial of benefits.
He came to South Florida in 1960 from Long Branch, New Jersey, and served in the United States Coast Guard until his honorable discharge in 1969. Over his career he has practiced personal injury, criminal defense, workers' compensation, and labor law; today his practice is personal injury and insurance cases only.
Jerome is a Florida-certified circuit civil mediator and arbitrator and sits on labor arbitration panels for the National Mediation Board, the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, and the American Arbitration Association, and on permanent panels for Miami-Dade County and the City of West Palm Beach. That experience deciding cases is why his articles on this site tend to focus on how a claim is actually evaluated.
